Final Examination

Directions:

Answer both Parts, each in approx. 3 pages.:

1. In the course of this semester we've examined many different facets of life in colonial America. In a short essay, discus ways in which your conceptions of colonial living have changed. In other words, how was colonial American culture different from your preconceptions of it.

2. After the first half of the course I asked you to identify any three personages with whom you had come in contact and with whom you'd like to be able to meet and hold a conversation. I'd like to have you repeat that exercise, concentrating this time on personages from the second half of the course.

Optional and not for a grade:

I'd like your candid comments on the web page for this course. Was it worth the effort?

SPECIAL NOTE:

The Final Exam period class will be held in the Library Classroom Main Floor, behind the Reference Section, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The room will be equipped with a computer for presenting work.

If you are not making a website of your own, please e-mail me a copy of your paper, in Word Perfect or Microsoft Word (NOT WORKS!) by Thursday at 5:00 p.m. I'll convert the file into a hypertext document and post it to the website.
